Ubuntu install chinese input method
The SCIM always make the ubuntu10.04 disabled. you can not use the keyboard and mouse. so I drop it! just use the IBUS input methods.The chinese input method of Ubuntu 10.04 is too ugly. So you need find anthor method which you like. I survey on the internet and find that 'scim' is been recommended. The install steps as below:
(1) input from the terminal:
sudo apt-get install scim
sudo apt-get install scim-chinese
(2)log out the OS, and sign in.
(3)open system -> administration-> language support, keyboard input method system choose the scim, then you can exchange the chinese and english by ctrl+space.
Ubuntu用Ibus，一般系统自带，到system>preferences>Ibus preference下面调整输入法，一般用Chinese-Pinyin，注意，Pinyin不是pinyin。如果输入法列表里没有，先看看system>administration>Language support是否安装齐全中文。
Ubuntu中IBus的自动启动
进入Administration > Language Support, 将 Keyboard input method system 的值设为ibus。
如果上面的自启动方法不管用，可以直接添加自启动应用：
